On "Holiday"

Our first little family "Holiday" in Korea. Mike took off some work this past week and we went twice to Seoul, once with kids and once without, and also to Everland. The first pics are of "SeoulLand" and the trip with the kids to Seoul and Yongsan, the Army post there. The first pic is of the view from our hotel room. Seoul is huge and that is an understatement. We went to Seoul land, Korea's first version of Disney, developed for the 1988 Olympics. The kids loved it! Olivia rode her first real roller coaster. She came away with a smile, so I think it was a victory. They played in a giant pit of balls, jumped on a trampoline, rode the peter pan ride and bumper cars. There were no lines, as it was a week day and as usual we were celebrities. The second trip to Seoul was Mike and I alone for the 60th Air Force Birthday Ball. The kids stayed overnight with babysitters from church which was a success. Mike and I had a wonderful time, eating good food, listening to very important people speak ("Hoot" Gibson, Korean war ace) and dancing to music from a Korean military band. Last but not least, we went to Everland, Korea's second attempt at Disney. It was actually quite accurate, without the same characters, and very nice. It was extremely kid friendly and the service was impeccable. We went with our friends the Stitzel's. You will see Olivia with the Korean Mickey Mouse, and dancing in the water getting very wet. The parade was something as well. Very up beat and fun. Oh yeah, and don't drop ANYTHING on the ground. You will be the only one. It is very clean and the people will come and sweep under you if you spill even just a little bit of popcorn while watching the parade, with kids in your arms, when you were planning on picking it up afterwards...maybe. Anyways, it was very clean. Ok...lots of details were spared, but it is just so different here it is hard to tell all. We love you all and please call or write when it is convenient.
